As a regular manufacturer of CNC machined plastic parts for critical aerospace, military, computer, and medical applications, we understand the importance of high quality and high precision parts — even for the most complex components.
Our Plastic Machining Services
Our high precision plastic machining capabilities include:
- CNC vertical and horizontal milling
- Swiss screw machining and turning
- Secondary value added services
We operate both vertical and horizontal milling centers in our 30,000 square foot facility. Vertical milling centers, our most commonly used CNC machining equipment, are the easiest machines to program and the most efficient choice for short run jobs. Horizontal milling centers, on the other hand, are capable of operating at much higher speeds, enabling large volume orders without sacrificing product quality.
After evaluating each project’s material, geometry, and production volume, our team of experienced engineers will determine which milling method is the most appropriate for the job. This way, we ensure that our customers always receive the best quality part at the best price.
Swiss screw machining and turning is our specialty, allowing for the extremely tight tolerances necessary for medical component manufacturing. Our Swiss CNC lathe machines are ideal for producing high volumes of small cylindrical pieces, accommodating runs of over 50,000 parts up to 32 mm (1.25 in) in diameter.
Plastic CNC Machining for Medical Components
Ardel also offers CNC machining specifically for plastic medical components, where precision is of the utmost importance. These products and parts include surgical and dental instruments, anesthetic and therapy components, diagnostic devices, catheters, mandrels, orthopedic, cardiac implants, and other implantable devices.
Since medical devices and components often require multiple iterations before going to market, we offer efficient small-batch machining, assembly fixtures, and one-piece prototyping. Specializing in small-to-medium sized parts, we can guide any size project from conception to production and final packaging.
Value Added Services for Machined Plastic Parts
In addition to these precision machining techniques, we offer a number of value added services. After completing these services, we thoroughly inspect each part to ensure we are exceeding every customer requirement. Using a range of in-depth product validation methods and equipment such as DCC Zeiss coordinate measuring machines, ROI vision systems, optical comparators, microscopes, and manual contact gauges, we check a variety of specifications from basic linear tolerances to complex geometries of GD&T.
At Ardel Engineering, all of our machining processes are optimized to enforce Six Sigma practices, as well as enable lights out and lean manufacturing. We proudly hold ISO 9001:2015 and are ISO 13485 compliant under the most up to date international quality management system, allowing us total control over our materials and processes for our customers.
With over 40 years of experience turning out production runs of all sizes, our team has what it takes to perfect your precision plastic parts. To learn more about how Ardel can help you on your next project, contact us today.
